Technical, breathable, comfortable : the FAHRENHEIT merino cycling undershirt meets all the qualities required to practice winter cycling. The Merino wool, renowned for its incomparable softness, will accompany your toughest outings.
Summer and winter, the undershirt should not be forgotten. Lightweight, breathable, the technical bike baselayer provides excellent moisture transfer in summer. In winter, this additional layer is not negligible to fight against the cold and the wind. We designed the FAHRENHEIT technical cycling undershirt with raglan sleeves (for more comfort), and merino wool, which has many advantages.
This product, very soft on the skin, has many qualities. In addition to neutralize odors, merino wool protects against bacteria. It also regulates the temperature, and thehumidity. By wearing the FAHRENHEIT wool undershirt, you protect yourself from the sometimes complicated weather conditions when the days start to get cold.
For a garment to last, it must bemaintain. Our technical merino bike baselayer will accompany you for a long time by following some good washing practices:
- by hand: soak for a few minutes in water at 30 ° C. Rinse gently after using a special wool detergent.
- machine: use the short program at 30 ° C. Turn the jersey inside out.
- favor natural drying.
Did you know ? Merino is a natural material. This wool comes from sheep that bear the same name. These herds are found mainly in Australiabut also New Zealand . Our baselayer is made up of 40%.
Why FAHRENHEIT ? Temperature measurements depend on meteorological phenomena. The feeling of a good bike ride depends on physical form, the route… But also on comfortable equipment. I created the POLY technical bike baselayer, for summer outings. It seemed important to me to link the two collections, which like the summer and winter seasons, follow each other tirelessly.

- dries quickly
By hand :
Cold or lukewarm water (30 ° C)
Soak for a few minutes.
Use a special wool detergent.
Rub gently then rinse gently (no twisting of the garment).
Dry flat and in the shade.
In machine:
Short program, max.30 ° C
Turn the swimsuit over to wash inside out.
No dryer
Dry horizontally and out of direct sunlight.

Coach's advice
Merino wool can be fragile if you don't take care! When dressing and undressing, be careful not to pull too hard on the fabric, and not to tuck your thumbs into the fabric to position the garment. The fibers may tear. Embrace softness… like this fabric on your skin.

Very good but tears easily when trying to relax it because the mesh tightens slightly after drying (in the open air I specify)... grrrr

Thanks for your feedback. “Easily” I don’t know if that’s the right term. But you are dealing with wool, and it is indeed more fragile than polyester if you don't pay enough attention to it. We also mentioned it in the “coach’s advice” on the product page in order to raise awareness of this difference.

This merino baselayer is particularly warm while being breathable. It is worn very close to the body in order to retain all its calorific qualities. No feeling of cold with it. On the other hand, you have to be careful when putting it on and taking it off because the material can be fragile. I recommend this undershirt without problem. Follow the size recommendations carefully. I usually take M for swimsuits and here, size S suits me perfectly, as it is a unisex garment.

Thank you Agnès for your precise feedback. You are right to point out, you have to be careful when putting on or putting down the baselayer. It is (fine) wool, and if you remove the jersey by “putting” your thumb, for example, into the garment, you can pass your thumb through it. But with a minimum of vigilance, there is no particular concern. All the best…

Indispensable for chilly cyclists like me.
This Baselayer is worn very close to the body and is warm and very breathable. It must be associated with a jersey (short or long) and possibly a thermal jacket if the temperatures are extreme. It is not 100% wool (67%) which means that it does not itch and retains good elasticity.
I'm not lowering the rating but this baselayer is made in Croatia and not in Spain or Italy as indicated in your "about" section.

Regarding the place of manufacture, it is the only product in our range (as of this winter only) that is manufactured outside of France, Spain and Italy. Our Italian manufacturers who make 95% of our clothes have since this year relocated the manufacture of this undershirt. We validated this choice, because the manufacture is perfect, of very good quality. If it had been otherwise, we would not have made this decision. And apparently you also validated this undershirt 😉

This close-fitting garment is very effective in cold weather, and comfortable to wear. No perspiration except in the lower part of the back in contact with the long shorts (which protects the back). So the top.
With my morphology (very long arms - and yes no one is perfect!) It lacks a few centimeters.
I recommend this product worn on 5 winter outings.
